A visit with Rudy

Rudy is one of the neatest people I know. He is close to my age. He takes excellent care of his body. He is one of the lucky people who are absolutely passionate about their jobs. This past weekend he went away to learn new techniques for his job. I went to visit him and he was just so excited about what he learned and couldn't wait to try it out. He is kind and helpful to all his peers. All excited to show them what he learned. Told every one of them what he was doing, how he did it, the results, etc. It is always wonderful to be around someone who is excited to be doing what they love. His kindness and willingness to help others are the two things that seem to be consistently what I see in him when I go to visit.

Rudy is my hair dresser but he treats me like a friend. Rudy is also gay. It is because of people like Rudy that I struggle with Christian doctrine that say to be gay is to sin. I can not imagine God looking down on Rudy and damning him to hell. Rudy is the type of person I love to be around. He makes everyone around him smile. His zest for life and kind treatment of others is something that seems so rare in this crazy world. In my humble opinion, heaven would benefit from the same sort of soul.

Rudy is an amazing person in so many ways. I just can't fathom God keeping Rudy out of heaven. I'm really hoping this is one of the things that I'm right about!
