I have to eradicate this silly romantic notion that we were meant for each other. The notion can explain why neither of use could make our other relationships work. The notion explains why when we see each other, the years fade away and how the same caress that took my breath away, still does. How you the sound of your gasp makes my heart leap. The reason my kisses taste the same and how when we hold each other, it’s as if we never left. When we talk, although we’ve matured, we are still identical to each other. The way 48 hours, 20 years later felt like 48 minutes, 20 minutes later. The notion explains why I can lie in your arms and allow you to steer the course, when I could allow no other. And, the fact that you posses every single quality of my ideal man making me wonder if he was subconsciously modeled after you.
With so much to support the notion, I must still eradicate it. After all, it’s silly and romantic.
